Ghana Premier League: “I’m ready to make Hearts of Oak debut” – Solomon Agbasi

Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Solomon Agabsi will likely make his debut for the club against Heart of Lions in week five of the Ghana Premier League following the absence of number one Benjamin Asare.

Agbasi who signed a two-year deal with the Phobians might be considered by head coach Mas Ud Didi Dramani as Benjamin Asare will need rest after guiding Ghana to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Asare was in post when Ghana pipped Comoros by 1-0 courtesy Mohammed Kudus to win Group I on with 25 points from ten matches and qualify for their fifth World Cup to be co-hosted by Canada, USA and Mexico next year.

Solomon Agbasi expressed readiness to give his best when called upon to man the post against Heart of Lions at the Accra Sports Stadium at 4:00pm on Monday.

“I see Kpando Heart of Lions as a very good side and they’ve gone unbeaten so far this campaign so we and the coaches and the technical team and my teammate we are also preparing our best because it’s a very important game for us in Accra,” Solomon Agbasi told Hearts of Oak media.

“We playing at home and we being in front of the fans, we are ready to give our all. I’ve been training and my coach has also been helping me to push harder so I am ready when given the chance.”

Solomon Agbasi, 25, previously played for Dreams fc, a side he led to the 2023/24 CAF Confederation Cup semifinals where they suffered elimination against Egypt giants Zamalek over two legs.

Hearts of Oak are yet to lose a game this campaign. Managing to record two wins and two draws with eight points to show for.
