Hohoe United shocked giants Asante Kotoko at home

A statement on the club’s social media handles read: “Let’s welcome Lawson Bekui to the Womeee family. The prolific Striker has in the past nine years played for ACSM Poli Iasi (Romania), AC Kajaani(Finland), Extremadura (Spain), Al- Rawdah, Al~ Entesar, Al-Sahel ( Saudi Arabia) Dofar Club(Oman) and Dreams FC. It’s with excitement that we welcome a true son of “Gbi Nyigbe“ to Hohoe.

Hohoe United produced some fine finishes in their last three games, traveling to beat Bechem United before stunning Asante Kotoko 1-0 at home in weeks 12 and 13. They however faltered in week 14, losing 1-0 to Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park on Sunday.

Hohoe United currently sit 11th on the league table with 17 points after 14 games with their next fixture at home to reigning champions Gold Stars on Sunday, December 21.
