Head coach of Asante Kotoko Karim Zito has attributed tactical indiscipline on the part of his players to their defeat at Hohoe United in match 13 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
The Porcupine Warriors had gone three matches without a victory and they needed to win or pull a point to pacify their extremely livid supporters.
Hohoe United however had other ideas and with the aim of staying away from the relegation zone, William Oduro’s sublime free kick in the first half earned the new boys all three points at the Hohoe Stadium.
A visibly disappointed Kotoko coach Karim Zito spoke to the media after the 1-0 loss to the Hohoe United.
“To be serious with you, I am really disappointed with our first half, I was not happy at all. They had a good free kick and it resulted in a goal,” Zito said.
“There is nothing wrong with the free kick. We didn’t play well in the first half. To be honest we were tactically indisciplined.
Asante Kotoko have now gone four matches without a win, a feat that has left the teeming fans on the edge. They remain on 21 points in 5th , same as rivals Hearts of Oak after 13 matches into the campaign.
