Asante Kotoko’s three matches unbeaten streak will be put to a test when they make the trip to Swedru as guests of All Blacks in match day 17 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
Kotoko have recorded wins over Dreams fc, Eleven Wonders and Bechem United with the latter coming by way of a 6-0 victory at the Baba Yara Stadium.
All Blacks have however clocked four points in their last three matches, losing 2-0 at Bechem United with a win and a draw against Vision FC and Karela United respectively.
Kotoko head coach, Karim Zito shared his thoughts on the game: “It will be a tough match as usual, we will not find the game easy because they have a home advantage and that help them come stronger so it will be a difficult game but we are also prepared for the challenge,” Karim Zito told Kotoko TV.
Karim Zito affirmed the club’s aim to win the season’s double of the league title and the FA Cup.
“Football is about your attitude on the field of play and you set yourself an objective and you fight towards that and we all agreed that we need to win the league and the FA Cup so we are still on the campaign we will attach seriousness to the game at All Black Stars.
“I always go in to win and at the end of the day, I want to see myself winning and we will continue fighting for our objective and my aim to beat All Blacks at the end of the game.”
Asante Kotoko are one of the favorites to win the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League title and they currently occupy second spot on 30 points, one behind leaders Medeama in 16 matches.
