Asante Kotoko head coach, Karim Zito is anticipating a tough test at home to Berekum Chelsea in week 18 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
The Porcupine Warriors are one of the premier league title contenders and welcoming Berekum Chelsea to the Baba Yara Stadium for the return of the second half of the season proves a mountainous task.
Kotoko recorded a 1-0 win at Berekum Chelsea in the first half of the season and Karim Zito remains confident that his charges are in a good shape to counter the threat of the former champions once more.
“The approach is like at all costs we have to win this game. We no longer have any second chance so whatever we learned must be applied since we have set our objective of winning the league. It means we have to win this match at all costs,” Karim Zito told Asante Kotoko TV.
“Now that they are coming to our home, there are no two ways about it. We have to do everything possible to win this game, it’s very important to me.”
Asante currently sit in third on the league log on 30 points with Berekum Chelsea battling relegation in 17th on 18 points from 17 matches.
One of the fixtures to watch out for is the game between two time champions Aduana FC and Karela United at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Sunday.
Karela United occupy 7th with 25 points, four behind Aduana, making the fixture a cagey encounter. Karela United head coach, Amadu stressed that Aduana’s experience and home strength cannot be underestimated.
“They also have experienced players, so on a good day they can beat any opponent. We have to give them the match of their lives. It’s going to be a very interesting game,” Amadu Nurudeen said.
