Medeama SC’s title chase will be put to a stern test when they travel to Samartex in match day 23 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
The Mauve and Yellow need a win at all costs to keep the dream of lifting their second trophy alive as reigning champions, GoldStars and Hearts of Oak are on their heels.

The two time FA Cup holders sit on top of the league table with 44 points, five points above GoldStars and Hearts of Oak and a slip at Samartex will be detrimental to their title ambitions.
Medeama SC head coach, Ibrahim Tanko shared thoughts on their away game against the Timber Giants.
“There is no need to press the panic button because from the beginning we knew that the league is a strong league and we still have 12 games and each of us have very tough games ahead of us.
“I don’t think we should press any panic button but I think we should concentrate and work hard to come back to winning ways,” Ibrahim Tank told MEDi TV.
“The only thing we have to do is to play as a team and then anyone who scores is ok, the only thing is to get the three points.
“We are ready and they gave us a tough time here [Tarkwa] and we can equally give them tough time over there [and] I mean the Premier League is a tough league no matter whether you play home or away.
“I think my boys know them, we have played two games with them and we are going to play the third game and definitely we are going to get a good result.
Samartex on the other hand are eying the top four place and would want to put the brakes on Medeama as they sit in 5th on the league table with 35 points from 22 games.
