Ghana Premier League: Nations FC coach Frimpong Manso eyes first win

Nations FC head coach Stephen Frimpong Manso is yet to win a game since joining the club days ago.

The former GoldStars trainer signed for the Abrankese based club after departing the Miners, a side he led to the Ghana Premier League title last season.

Nations have managed two draws under Frimpong Manso, against Bechem United away and at home to new boys, Hohoe United in weeks eight and nine.

The veteran coach is however confident that his outfit is well-prepared for the upcoming encounter away to Berekum Chelsea on Sunday.

Nations FC is cautious of Berekum Chelsea’s threat

“You can’t underrate any team in the Ghana Premier League. Berekum Chelsea has been in the system for quite a longtime.

“We know they are strong especially at home but we are making effort to recover from our draw. For sure, we will make sure we go into the Chelsea match very well prepared” he told the club’s media.

Nations FC travels to Berekum for the matchday 10 encounter, scheduled to take place at the Golden City Park.

Nations FC are currently 12th on the Ghana Premier League table after nine matches, with 10 points, while Chelsea find themselves in 15th spot with 8 points.
