Ghana international Osman Bukari has taken another step in his career following his return to Europe with Polish top flight side Widzew Lodz.
The winger joined the Red Army from Major League Soccer side Austin FC on a permanent deal signing a deal until 2030.
The 27-year-old was a mainstay for Austin FC where he gathered 33 games, scoring three goals with five assists under his belt.
Osman began his career at now Ghana second tier side Accra Lions before honing his talent at Belgium giants Royal Anderlecht on a season’s loan before signing for Slovak outfit, AS Trencin where he stayed between 2018 and 2020.
Bukari’s two season’s spell at Trencin saw him produce 16 goals and 25 assists in 66 games courting interest from Belgium side Gent, signing for the Jupiler Pro League outfit for two seasons.
The speedster joined Bulgaria’s Red Star Belgrade in 2022 after a season’s loan stint at French Ligue 1 club Nantes where he managed 24 matches with two goals.
Bukari’s best career moment cake at Red Stars Belgrade where he scored 25 goals and provided 20 assists in 78 matches, including Champions League goals against Manchester City and Young Boys of Switzerland.
He gathered 39 appearances last season with Austin FC in the MLS with five goals and six assists since joining them in 2024. Osman Bukari is expected to strengthen the frontline of Widzew Lodz in the Polish Ekstraklasa.
At international level, Osman Bukari is capped 19 times by Ghana’s senior team, scoring three times for the four time African champions. A good performance in Poland could see him earn a spot in coach Otto Addo’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Canada, USA and Mexico.
