Aduana Stars head coach Cioaba Aristica has attributed Monday’s Ghana Premier League loss at Samartex to a lack of concentration on the part of his players.
The two-time Ghana Premier League champions went down as early as the 10th minute before attacker Mezack Afriyie was red-carded in the 49th minute to make life difficult. The original fixture was billed for Sunday but heavy rains halted proceedings with the delayed fixture cleared on Monday.
Coach Aristica was left distraught, admitting that his charges lost concentration in the game and were also destabilized by the red card.
“About the last three games the same situation, lack of concentration in the opponent’s area and it’s the same mistake to concede 1-0,” Aristica told the media.
“In the second half we changed the tactics but the red card to Mezack Afriyie made it difficult to play ten against eleven but congratulations to the players because we tried to fight throughout the ninety minutes. We will take what is good and what is not good from this game and fix the future mistakes,” he added.
The defeat leaves them in 7th position on the Ghana Premier League table with 6 points from four matches while Samartex collected their first win in three matches.
