Head coach of Asante Kotoko, Karim Zito is very much aware of the challenge that awaits the club when they begin the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season away to Berekum Chelsea.
The FA holders are guests of the former league champions with a history of unimpressive performances at the Golden City Park on their minds.
Head coach of the Porcupine Warriors, Karim Zito has discussed the tough away fixture. “Kotoko does not have a soft game, I remember when I was playing, the younger clubs anytime they see Kotoko you see us doing everything to beat Kotoko,” Karim Zito told Kotoko media.
“So to me not only Berekum Chelsea and the game is very difficult and moreover according to history Kotoko don’t easily have it easy over there.
“There is always a day in your life that can change history so we still have our confidence and hope that we can do it.” Karim Zito added.
Asante Kotoko come into the new season with an impressive pre-season performance, winning the President’s Cup against rivals Hearts of Oak and the Toyota Cup over Kaizer Chiefs at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
