Ghana Premier League: Aduana shock league leaders GoldStars

Defending champions, GoldStars suffered a shocking 2-1 loss against Aduana FC during the week 28 Ghana Premier League fixture on Friday.

In a keenly contested fixture at the Nana Agyamang Badu Park, Aduana needed the three points at all costs to move into top four with GoldStars looking to strengthen their lead.

Aduana, who hold two Ghana Premier League titles, took the game to the visitors with youngster, Benjamin Tsivanyo firing them ahead in the 59th minute after a barren first half.

GoldStars, despite going down, kept their composure, soaking the incessant pressure from the home side.

Burkinabe import, Razack Sanou pulled GoldStars equalizer after netting from close range in the 77th minute.

The score line stayed at 1-1 until added time when Aduana produced a shocker, restoring their lead once again from Emmanuel Marfo.

Marfo slotted home the winner from the penalty spot seven minutes before the end of the 11 minutes added time.

Per the victory, Aduana FC climbed into 4th on the league table on 45 minutes while GoldStars still remain at the top with 51 points from 28 games. The remaining games will be cleared at fhe weekend.
