The battle to win the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League title will continue with the four horse race among Nations FC, Gold Stars, Heart of Lions and Asante Kotoko intensifying this weekend.

Head coach of Heart of Lions, Bashir Hayford, has set his sight on guiding the team to a victory away to Young Apostles in their week 31 encounter on Sunday, May 25 with kickoff time at 3:00 GMT.

The Kpando-based club missed out on a chance to move to second in the league table last Sunday when the team drew goalless with Basake Holy Stars at the end of their Week 31 encounter.

Speaking to the media, Hayford shared his disappointment but expressed confidence in his team’s ability to return to winning ways in the next match against Young Apostles.

“The game against Basake Holy Stars was a very tough game. We have split the points one-one. We will take it like that and go home. We will go and prepare, and then we will see what we will do next time [against Young Apostles].

“For the league title race, it’s not over until it’s over,” Hayford said.

Heart of Lions share 54 points in third with Gold Stars seated second with 56 points and Nations FC lead on 57 points. A win for Heart of Lions will keep the team in the title race heading into the last two games of the campaign.
