Heart of Lions will continue their chase for the Ghana Premier League title when they travel as guests of Legon Cities in match day 29 of the 2024/25 season.
The Kpando based club sit 3rd on the league table with 47 points same as Asante Kotoko after match day 28. A win keeps their title hopes very much alive and head coach of the side, Bashir Hayford is eying all three points.
Hayford said of the title race: "It's not over until it's over. We have five matches to go. It's about 15 points. We are trying to get 10 points, and we will see where it will take us. We are still on course."
"We are expecting a win [against Legon Cities]. We have to make sure we get some points because life at the top is not easy. We have done well, but we are striving to go higher," Hayford said ahead of the match.
The match between Legon Cities FC and Heart of Lions will kick off at 3 pm on Sunday at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium. A win would be crucial for Heart of Lions to maintain their position in the top three and keep their title hopes alive.
