Head coach of Hearts of Oak, Mas Ud Didi Dramani has reacted to their slim yet important win over Dreams FC in match day two of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League.

The Phobians put behind them a goalless draw against debutants, Hohoe United at the Accra Sports Stadium in match day one last Friday, leaving their fans on the edge ahead of week two.

The record Ghana FA Cup holders displayed great resilience against the 2023/24 CAF Confederation Cup semifinalists, resulting in the 1-0 win courtesy Mohammed Hussein’s 14th minute strike from outside the penalty box.

Oak needed to maintain right mentality throughout contest

Speaking in his post-match interview, the coach noted that although the game was tough, his side needed to maintain the right mentality throughout the contest to achieve their objective.

“Our character leading into this game was to set up the right mentality. We were to set up the mentality of winning, and so irrespective of how the game was going, we needed to keep that.

“Individually, there is a lot I have to improve, there is a lot that my staff have to improve in terms of technical influence. There is a lot our players have to improve. So, everyone involved in our team has something to improve. That is why we will continue to make mistakes, but we won’t stop trying. We will Learn from our mistakes,” Didi Dramani said after the game.

Hearts of Oak have climbed to fourth in the Ghana Premier League standings with four points from two games and the team will now prepare for their next match against Eleven Wonders in Week 3 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
