Hearts of Oak defender Konadu Yiadom has expressed belief that, the club has reached a level worth describing as tough customers in the Ghana Premier League.

The 24-year-old scored in the 63rd minute as the 2004 CAF Confederation Cup winners defeated Samartex by 1-0 in the final fixture of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League.

Yiadom, who joined the Phobians from West Africa Football Academy [WAFA], spoke to the media after the slim win over the last season’s champions.

“Every player has given his best and prior to the game, we wanted the three points. We had nothing in our mind apart from the three points,” Yiadom told the media. “So we went out for the three points and thankfully enough we have had the three points so we are thankful to the supporters, the technical team and everybody.

“I told the fans to be patient with the team and now that the season has ended, they can bear with us that the club has become difficult to beat.”

The record FA Cup holders are awaiting a decision by the Ghana Football Association on the abandoned game between Nations FC and Basake Holy Stars to determine the Top Four status as they share 58 points in third spot with arch rivals Kotoko after 34 matches.
