The match day three of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League returns with Hearts of Oak set to host newly promoted club, Eleven Wonders at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, September 26.
The record MTN FA Cup holders have managed to secure four points from their two opening games – drawing goalless at home to debutants Hohoe United before recovering to pip Dreams fc by 1-0 at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Park in week two.
Eleven Wonders have collected just a point in two matches – drawing goalless at Holy Stars before suffering a 4-1 loss at home to Heart of Lions in week two.
Hearts of Oak captain, Kelvin Osei Asibey has admitted that, the new boys will not come easy despite their jerky start to the campaign.
“It’s a team that has been promoted to the Ghana Premier League and at the same time they will play against Hearts of Oak so it will not be an easy game,” Kelvin Osei Asibey told Hearts TV.
“They have it at the back of their heads that they are playing against Hearts of Oak and they will come all out to play the game.”
“But we will also not rest on oars and we are also going all out on Friday and we are going to deliver what has been taught at training,” Osei Asibey added.
Hearts of Oak will look to keep the momentum from their week two clash against Dreams FC as they look to pump up their supporters to fill the Accra Sports Stadium.
The record FA Cup holders will count on the experience of Ghana senior goalkeeper Benjamin Asare, who saved the day countless times against Dreams FC.
