Head coach of Asante Kotoko, Abdul Karim Zito, has admitted that the Week 30 Ghana Premier League encounter against arch rivals hearts of Oak will be tough.
Zito replaced University of Cape Coast lecturer Prosper Narteh-Ogum following two consecutive losses against Accra Lions and Nations FC last month, sinking the Porcupine Warriors from the top of the league table.
Speaking in a pre-match interview, Coach Zito said his team is preparing well and will go into the match with the mentality to beat the Phobians to earn all three points.
“They are not a bad side, but sometimes a little bit of luck eluded them when they played. I think it’s going to be a difficult game because Hearts and Kotoko are not like other clubs. On Sunday, it won’t be an easy game for both clubs,” Karim Zito said in an interview with AKSC Media.
“I know the game will be difficult. For Hearts of Oak and Asante, you cannot predict until the 90th minute, and it’s over. We are going in with a winning mentality. For that one, I can’t hide it. The field will decide.”
Kotoko currently sit 4th on the league table on 50 points, same as Heart of Lions with Hearts of Oak languishing in 6th on 45 points from 29 Ghana Premier League matches.
This weekend’s Super Clash between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko is scheduled to kick off at 3pm at Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, May 4.
