Ghana Premier League: “Hohoe United prepared to upset Heart of Lions” – Alossodey

Hohoe United defender John Alossodey has discussed the club’s recent poor form in their last three Ghana Premier League matches.

The newly promoted side have endured turbulence in their last encounters, losing three games on the trot and are preparing to host Heart of Lions in a crunch derby that closes the first half of the season at the Hohoe Stadium on Friday.

Heart of Lions as well have lost their last four matches, making the week 17 encounter a big fixture for the people of the Volta region of Ghana.

Alossodey who has been a pillar in defence for Hohoe United reacted to their recent unimpressive performance.

“It’s something that has not happened before, for Hohoe United to lose three matches in a row, it’s a very bad record so we the players have talked to ourselves, we spoke to each other towards our next game,” Alossodey told Hohoe United TV.

John Alossodey is however confident that he club will soon return to winning ways.

“So we will keep the focus and our heads up and try to get the win especially this game for our cherished fans.

“As for the morale it’s still high in camp because we are not doing badly just that goal scoring is the problem of the team but we know we still have more matches to play in the league so we know the table will turn and everything will be fine.”

Hohoe United have collected 17 points the same as Dreams fc from 16 matches and sitting 16th on the league log.
