Ghana Premier League: Holy Stars appoint veteran coach Evans Adotey

Ghana Premier League club Holy Stars have reinforced their technical team with the announcement of Evans Adotey.

The veteran coach joins the Basake based club ahead of next season which kicks off this weekend across various venues. The experienced trainer signed a three-year deal with the club, who are preparing for their second season in the Ghanaian top flight.

Adotey arrives as a replacement for Abdulai Gazale, who left in June to take up the assistant coach role at giants Hearts of Oak.

Adotey experience includes stints Medeama SC, a side he guided to their first-ever CAF Confederation Cup group stage appearance in 2016. The 60-year-old also served as technical director at Medeama and worked as an assistant coach with the Black Queens, Ghana’s senior women’s national team.

Holy Stars will open their Premier League campaign this weekend at home to Dreams FC. They will look improve on last season’s performance where they finished 13th on the log on 41 points.
