Head coach of Basake Holy Stars, Johnson Smith has reacted to their 1-1 draw against Medeama SC in their week 15 Ghana Premier League match on Monday.
Holy Stars began the current campaign on a jerky note but have now gone five matches without a loss under new coach Johnson Smith.
Koffie Hagan shot them ahead before Kingsley Braye leveled for Medeama to keep the game at 1-1 in full time at the Tarkwa TnA Park.
Johnson Smith said: “It’s not bad, this is how I told the boys to do [and] what they did was very good. The boys are responding to instruction because we have only five defenders so whenever there is a problem then we are in a difficult situation,” Johnson Smith said.
Holy Stars have recorded three victories and two draws and Johnson Smith believes that their 1-1 draw against Medeama was a step in the right direction.
They currently sit in 14th on the league table with 17 points from 15 league matches. They will next host newly promoted side Hohoe United in match week 16.
