Week three from the Ghana Premier League brought some mixed results across seven venues from Friday through to Sunday.
Hearts of Oak dug deep on Friday to beat strugglers Eleven Wonders by 1-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium to go on seven points from three games.
Two-time champions Aduana Stars went down early in the 13th minute against Swedru All Blacks on Saturday but they fought back to beat the Premier League returnees by 2-1 with a brace from Emmanuel Marfo.
The remaining fixtures were cleared on Sunday where in-form Karela United halted Medeama’s quest maintain their perfect record.
Karela United shocked the Mauve and Yellow by 1-0 at the Tamale Sports Stadium to go level on seven points with Hearts of Oak. Heart of Lions went top of the table on nine points after beating Bechem United by 1-0 at the Kpando Stadium.
Vision FC produced a spirited to beat newly promoted club, Hohoe United, with a 2-0 result while Samartex held Nations FC to a goalless draw at the Dr. Kyei Stadium.
The game between Young Apostles and Dreams FC was rained-off as at the time Young Apostles were 1-0 up. The second half will be continued on Monday, September 29 at 10:00GMT.
Asante Kotoko and GoldStars were not in action over the weekend due to their involvement in continental competition.
