Ghana Premier League: Medeama coach Ibrahim Tanko reacts to dominant Young Apostles win

Medeama showed class and were a mouthful for newly promoted side, Young Apostles in week 29 of the Ghana Premier League on Saturday.


The Mauve and Yellow made light work of Young Apostles by beating them 3-0 at the Tarkwa TnA Park, pushing them into the top five on the log.


Head coach of Medeama Sporting Club, Ibrahim Tanko, expressed much delight after the team’s dominant victory over Young Apostles in the Ghana Premier League.


Speaking in a post-match interview, Coach Ibrahim Tanko commended his players for a fantastic first half performance which produced the goals.


“We had a fantastic first half in terms of ball possession, chance creation and converting the chances into goals.


“In the second half, we had to score, but they relaxed because of the big lead.


“In all, I’m satisfied with the three points and the fact that we kept a clean sheet,” Coach Ibrahim Tanko said.


Medeama’s 3-0 triumph ended a two-game losing streak. The victory lifts Ibrahim Tanko's side to fifth place on the league table with 44 points from 29 matches, while Young Apostles drop to 13th, facing a challenging end to the season.
