Ghana Premier League: Medeama take five point lead

Medeama SC extended their lead on top of the Ghana Premier League to five points following a 3-0 victory over Young Apostles at the Tarkwa TnA Park on Sunday.

Right-back Kamaradini Mamudu’s first half brace plus Prince Owusu’s 85th minute goal nailed Young Apostles in week 18.

The victory gives the Mauve and Yellow 37 points, five points better than two time champions Aduana FC and holders GoldStars.

Reigning champions GoldStars suffered a slim 1-0 loss at Bechem United with Aduana FC beating Karela United 2-1 at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park.

Dreams fc pulled a big shocker, putting 3-0 past Heart of Lions and wirh Eleven Wonders opening the weekend with a 2-0 win at home to Holy Stars.

Berekum Chelsea and Asante Kotoko shared a goalless draw at the Baba Yara Stadium while Hearts of Oak posted a 1-0 victory at newly promoted side Hohoe United.
