The two-time FA Cup winners opened the floodgates in the 14th minute when Manuel Mantey’s thundering strike deflected against Henry Ansu to beat Aziz Daari in post for Kotoko.
Kelvin Obeng was brought down a few meters away from Kotoko’s penalty area but Medeama’s free kick expert, Salim Adams, blew his effort wayward three minutes after their opener.
Kotoko struggled to string passes together with their moves mostly failing to threaten Medeama’s backline. The Mauve and Yellow kept pushing forward in search of more goals and it paid off with a free kick in Kotoko’s final third.
Midfielder Fuzy Taylor whipped in a brilliant free kick with Kelvin Obeng rising to head in the second goal with thirty minutes played. Salim Adams got a third goal four minutes later with an easy tap in from Kelvin Obeng’s perfect low cross to further frustrate Kotoko’s plans.

With two minutes of added time exhausted, the hosts marched into the break with a comfortable 3-0 lead. The hosts returned for the second half with more purpose just like the first department with quick passes and movements down the wings.
Abdul Salam broke very quickly from the right side of the field before setting up Salim Adams who easily swept in the fourth goal in the 50th minute.
The hosts however slowed the tempo of the game with casual possession in the middle of park, making Kotoko look ordinary on the pitch.
The big win shot them back to the top of the league table with 53 points, two points better than defending champions GoldStars who lost 2-1 at Aduana on Friday at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park.
