Medeama SC defender, Fatawu Sulemana says he is aware of the task that awaits them at home to Basake Holy Stars in their Ghana Premier League week 15 match on Monday.
The Mauve and Yellow were billed to play reigning champions, Gold Stars in week 14 last week but the release of five players for Ghana’s senior team B for the international friendly against South Africa has delayed the fixture.
Coach Ibrahim Tanko’s charges will now turn attention to the week 15 contest against Holy Stars at the Tarkwa TnA Park and Sulemana, who returned to the side after a long injury lay-off, shared his thoughts on the game.
“It is always a great match facing Basake Holy Stars [and] last season we beat them home and away with the score line being the same 2-1,2-1 [and] I think they will be coming here to seek revenge but we will not allow that,” Fatawu Sulemana told MEDi TV.
The left-back urged the club’s supporters to troop to the stadium in support of the club as they seek to reclaim dethrone Aduana FC from the top spot.
“I always that football is a that you cannot predict anything unless it happens so I always tell them [fans] that without their support we cannot do anything so we urge them to keep supporting us even in the difficult times and I know we will win the league Insha Allah.”
Medeama currently sit second on the league table with 26 points from 13 matches, one point less than league leaders Aduana FC who have played one game more.
