Ghana Premier League: Nations coach Kasim Mingle rues wasted chances in Legon Cities pummeling

Head coach of Nations FC, Kasim Ocansey Mingle, has reacted to his side’s emphatic victory against Legon Cities in match day 31 on Monday, May 19.
Nations whitewashed the Royals by 4-1 at the Legon Sports Stadium to climb back into top spot on 57 points, confirming Legon Cities’ relegation to Division One next season.
Kelvin Ampoful scored twice, while Emmanuel Annor and Sadiq Alhassan also found the net to secure a comprehensive win for Nations FC.
Speaking after the game, the former Bechem United coach was left disappointed despite the big win.
“Our performance was not bad, but not to my satisfaction. In the first half, we wasted a lot of chances but I don’t blame them. They always want to score for us to take the lead and it is as a result of why we keeping wasting good scoring opportunities.” he said.
Nations FC sit top of the Premier League standings with 57 points, with three matches to end the season, while Legon Cities occupies 17th position with just 25 points from 31 games.
