Asante Kotoko’s unbeaten run will be tested one more time when they travel to face Vision FC in a week seven outstanding fixture on Wednesday.
Kotoko will travel to the Nii Adjei Kraku II Park after nailing their bitter rivals Hearts of Oak by 1-0 in a week nine fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium last Sunday.
The Porcupine Warriors have recorded two straight wins, beating Karela United by 4-2 and Hearts of Oak 1-0 after a poor continental campaign. Head coach of Asante Kotoko, Karim Zito has set a target of claiming all three points.
“We are approaching this game with the same attitude. Beating Hearts of Oak gave us three points, just like beating every other side would give us three points. To achieve our objectives, we must always chase the three points in every game.
“The attitude is to come here and come for our three points,” Karim Zito told AKSC Media.
However, head coach of Vision FC, Nana Kwaku Agyemang has promised a stern test for the Porcupine Warriors.
“The team is ready for the Kotoko clash. I think is going to be an exciting time for Vision. We are hoping that we can pick up the three maximum points in front of our home fans to boost the morale. These are very young players, and we know they are going to give everything” he said ahead of the clash.
Kotoko suffered a 6-1 aggregate loss in the CAF Confederation Cup against Morocco’s Wydad Athletic Club in the second preliminary round over two legs.
They currently sit seventh on the league table with 14 points from six matches with three outstanding games to clear. Vision FC are 10th on the log with 11 points from eight games.
