Ghana president John Mahama names Kofi Adams as Sports Minister designate

Ghana president, John Dramani Mahama has named Member of Parliament for Buem Constituency, Kofi Iddie Adams as the Minister-Designate for Sports and Recreation, pending parliamentary approval.


If confirmed, Adams will be tasked prosecuting the developmental agenda of the president of the land in the area of infrastructure development, improvement of athletes' welfare and performance.


His role will also involve boosting international collaborations, securing funding for sports initiatives, and ensuring the welfare of athletes and sports professionals.


Adams is expected to bring a fresh vision to the ministry, focusing on uniting the country through sports and leveraging its potential for economic growth.
