Ghana Premier League: Sharif Shuaib worried about Hearts of Oak’s goal drought

Pressure is mounting on Hearts of Oak ahead of their week 12 Ghana Premier League fixture against Vision FC on Saturday.

The Phobians who have now adopted the Legon Sports Stadium to honour their remaining matches of the season, will host Vision FC with the aim of ending their two consecutive draws against Young Apostles and All Blacks in weeks 10 and 11.

Hearts of Oak goalkeeper, Sharif Shuaib has shared some words, citing the team’s preparedness ahead of the game at the Legon Sports Stadium.

Shuaib decries lack of attackers’ goal scoring

“We are on a good path but we are just not clinical at the last third [but] I think we are putting in the work so that we can change the narration of our story,” Sharif Shuaib told Hearts TV.

“We are positive enough that surely this weekend we are going to change our narration per what we have been doing at the training ground.

“I think we need to run more than them as compared to their squad, we need to run more and again, our final third decisions we need to be clinical and then we need to be positive.

“There are a lot of challenges as to the attackers and strikers upfront but then we as a team are still positive [and] we have hopes that things will change.”

Hearts of Oak have only lost one game in this current campaign, collecting four victories, six draws with 18 points in sixth position.
