Ghanaian youngster, Douglas Owusu increased his season’s goal tally in the Serbia Super Liga as he scored a brace in FK Radnik’s 3-1 away win over FK Napredak on Friday, September 19.
The 19-year-old powered Radnik ahead with just three minutes into the encounter at the Mladost Krusevac Stadium. The right-winger capitalized on a costly defensive error before shoveling the ball into the net for the opener.
The visitors were bent on claiming all three points as they continued to mount heavy pressure on Napredak. The efforts paid off when a goal mouth melee left Vukasin Bogdanovic in a perfect position to smash the ball into a yawning net for Radnik’s second goal ten minutes after Douglas Owusu had opened the scoring.
The 2-0 lead by Radnik was halved in the 39th minute when Pedro Empis gifted Napredak an own goal in the 39th minute before Douglas Owusu iced the cake for Radnik just on the stroke of half time, eventually ending the game at 3-1 for the visitors.
Douglas Owusu has now scored three goals in nine appearances this season as Radnik now sit in 12th on seven points from nine league matches this campaign.
