Algerian striker Mohamed Amoura is beginning to receive the attention the 24-year-old deserves at German Bundesliga club Wolfsburg after grinding hard in European club football for the last three-and-a-half seasons, putting himself in the spotlight this week in our compilation of goals and assists from African players in European leagues.

A player who took Algerian football by storm with ES Sétif when he scored fifteen goals as a 20-year-old with ESS during the 2020-21 Algeria Ligue 1 season, Amoura spent three seasons with Swiss club Lugano as well as Belgium's Royale Union SG before getting his opportunity to shine at the highest level with a loan to Wolfsburg.

Amoura scored twice for Wolfsburg over the weekend, who fell just short of taking a point off league leaders Bayern Munich in a 3-2 defeat. He now has an impressive tally of 8 goals and 6 assists in 16 matches this season and appears set for a permanent move to one of Europe's biggest leagues whether it is at Wolfsburg or elsewhere. Watch Amoura's goals as well as the rest of the goal contributions from Europe's top-4 leagues below.
