Olympique de Marseille coach Roberto De Zerbi said Amine Gouiri is transitioning to a modern striker. The Algerian star is a key member of OM after scoring eight goals and assisting three times since joining from Stade Rennes.
De Zerbi is full of praise for the 25-year-old as he stated Gouiri is understanding his role more and more. "I think he is starting to realize the number 9 he carries on his shoulders. He is the prototype of the modern center forward. He scores, he dribbles, he moves intelligently. He is a complete player and a very good person at the same time."
Gouiri scored in a one all draw against Lille in Round 32 of the French Ligue 1 last match. OM are fighting for the UEFA Champions League spot and Gouiri will be instrumental to realize this goal with two games remaining.
