Algerian forward Amine Gouiri continued his impressive form for Olympique de Marseille, netting twice in a 3-1 away win over Le Havre in Matchday 33 of Ligue 1.
The visitors took the lead in the 56th minute when Gouiri latched onto a through ball from Pierre-Emile Højbjerg and slotted past the Le Havre goalkeeper.
The match was briefly halted following the goal due to clashes between the home and away fans, but play resumed again.
Le Havre responded in the 66th minute, as Senegalese striker Issa Soumare scored an equalizer from a Josué Casimir cross.
Marseille regained the lead late in the game when English forward Mason Greenwood found the net in the 85th minute by a shot from outside the box.
Gouiri sealed the victory deep into stoppage time, scoring his second of the night in the 99th minute.
Gouiri has now scored 13 goals in Ligue 1 this season from 32 appearances—9 of them coming since he joined Marseille during the winter transfer window from Stade Rennais FC.
Soumare, meanwhile, recorded his fifth league goal of the campaign in 28 appearances.
The result leaves Marseille in second place with 62 points and officially they qualified to the next season’s UEFA Champions League.
Le Havre, on the other hand, remain in a precarious position—sitting 16th with 31 points, just two points behind Reims and Nantes who occupy 14th and 15th, respectively.
