Hearts of Oak will look to close the gap on leaders Medama when they host Bechem United in week 21 of the Ghana Premier League at the Legon Sports Stadium on Sunday at 3:30PM (GMT)
Hearts of Oak have 35 points from 20 games, and if they beat Bechem United, they will go on 38, five points behind Medeama, who lost 2-1 at Nations FC on Friday.
Bechem United, on the other hand, are in 10th on 25 with a win propelling them closer to the top six position.
Ahead of the encounter, head coach of Hearts of Oak Mas Udi Didi Dramani shared his thoughts on what to expect from his charges.
“What is at stake is what we need to be looking at, and so we are just looking at areas that we need to improve, we are looking at areas that we need to consolidate,” Didi Dramani told Hearts TV.
“And I think that Bechem United is one of the finest squads despite their position on the league log, and so we need to prepare adequately at the best moment so that we can control good parts of the game, and hopefully we should be able to come up with the best outcomes.
“We are positive about what they have, they are very physical, they run a lot, they play with the ball a lot, and we need to be mindful of how to control them when they have the best moment, and also we need to stay focused in terms of our positional play.”
Dramani’s troops posted a red-hot performance last weekend, beating bottom-placed Eleven Wonders 3-0 at the Legon Sports Stadium with Bechem United pipping Heart of Lions 1-0 at the Nana Fosu Gyeabou Park.
Hearts of Oak share 35 points with Aduana and Asante Kotoko, and have conceded the least number of goals of seven in the current campaign.
