Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola praised Egyptian winger Omar Marmoush after achieving his first hat-trick in a 4-0 victory over Newcastle United at the Etihad Stadium.

Marmoush, who joined City last January, delivered an outstanding performance, netting three goals in the first half. His goals came in the 19th, 24th, and 33rd minutes, helping City cruise to a win.

According to Manchester City's official website, Guardiola highlighted Marmoush’s danger and mentioned the need to stay calm despite the praise coming his way.

“The highlights are for him, of course,” Guardiola said. “Three goals, we knew it - in Germany at Frankfurt he made good numbers."

He also pointed out that Marmoush missed several chances in the previous FA Cup game but he knew that he would score other chances.

"Against Leyton Orient he had three clear chances and couldn’t score but we knew sooner or later."

Guardiola emphasized that Marmoush is a player that Manchester City missed due to his movements in behind and his pace.

“When we played against Chelsea, he played well and we won. He likes to attack the space and he helps to play with more time."

The City boss also hopes Marmoush can manage the compliments following his performance against Newcastle United.

“Hopefully he can handle the biggest compliments that are coming. It’s non-stop. When you play well, everyone adapts quickly but when you don’t you need time. It’s not difficult.”

Guardiola praised the entire team’s performance, noting that Marmoush proved his quality.

“The dynamic of the group was good, and the performance was good. He showed what he is. When we play like we did today, everyone is better—even the manager!"
