Iran-based goalkeeper Alexis Guendouz is eyeing a departure from FC Persepolis after a successful season.

Guendouz, 29, joined the Iranian side following an impressive spell in his native Algeria.

According to La Gazzeta du Fennec, the goalkeeper is considering an exit from Persepolis. He made 37 appearances in all competitions and established himself as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper, keeping 15 clean sheets. Guendouz is under contract until 2027.

The decision to leave Persepolis, according to the Algerian football website, is influenced by the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel.

The Algerian international has received offers from abroad and is open to exploring new opportunities. Guendouz is reportedly seeking a more competitive league to maintain his position as the number one goalkeeper for the national team.

Guendouz previously played for Algerian Ligue 1 sides USM Alger and CR Belouizdad. He is currently the first-choice goalkeeper for the Algerian National Team under Vladimir Petković.
