Morocco international Achraf Hakimi has revealed his delight after helping Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain lift UEFA Champions League trophy following their 5-0 final win against Inter Milan at Allianz Arena on Saturday.

It was Hakimi who got the ball rolling after just 12 minutes after finding the back of the net, before Desire Doue's brace put Luis Enrique's side in control at Allianz Arena. Later strikes from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Senny Mayulu sealed the emphatic win for the Parisians.

“We have made history, we have written our names in the history of this club. For a long time, this club deserved it. We are very happy. We have created a great family,’ said Hakimi as quoted by beIN Sports.

On the impact played by coach Enrique, Hakimi said: “He is the man who has changed everything at PSG. Since he came here, he has changed the way football is seen. He is a loyal man, he deserves it more than anyone else.”

The triumph was Hakimi's second Champions League success, following his 2018 success with Real Madrid, though he was a substitute, who did not feature in that final.

He finished the campaign with four Champions League goals, contributing significantly to PSG's historic achievement.
