Morocco international Achraf Hakimi has revealed his intentions to fight for every ball and help Paris Saint Germain (PSG) defeat his former club Inter Milan in the final of the UEFA Champions League at Allianz Arena on Saturday.

Speaking to France Televisions, via FCInterNews, Hakimi delivered his thoughts ahead of his first meeting with the team he spent a memorable 2020-21 season with in the biggest match of the campaign.

“I will never forget wearing that shirt and winning a Scudetto. Inter will always be in my heart, but now I am at PSG and I will do everything I can to beat them,” said Hakimi, who in his only season with the Nerazzurri, under Antonio Conte, scored seven goals and provided 11 assists in 45 games.

“It's a very special final. It was an important stage in my career. I had a great year in Milan and made a lot of friends. I still haven't heard from my former teammates. I can't wait to meet them again. Lautaro and I share the same idea, but we haven't spoken yet. He will have to do his job and I will do mine.”

The Parisians booked their place in the final after beating Arsenal 2-1 at the Parc des Princes, meaning that their semi-final tie ended 3-1 on aggregate while the Nerazzurri overcame Barcelona in a spectacular semi-final tie that ended 7-6 on aggregate.
