The announcement was made via the club’s official Instagram page on Friday, where the 30-year-old midfielder was unveiled as the latest addition to the Wasps’ squad. Ayinde joins the Gothenburg side seeking a fresh challenge after a highly successful tenure with their league rivals.
The Super Falcons star arrives from FC Rosengård, where she established herself as one of the most reliable defensive midfielders in the division. During her three-season stint in Malmö, Ayinde was instrumental in Rosengård’s dominance, helping the club secure three Damallsvenskan titles and the Svenska Cupen.
Her wealth of experience—including a spell in the NWSL with Western New York Flash and over 50 caps for Nigeria—provides her new club with a veteran presence capable of commanding high-stakes matches.
