Tanzania Mainland Premier League champions Young Africans (Yanga SC) coach Miloud Hamdi has revealed that he is unsure whether he will be at the club next season.

The French-Algerian coach was hired to handle the Citizens at the halfway stage of last season after Sead Ramovic left to take charge of Algerian club Chabab Riadhi de Belouizdad. Before joining Yanga, Hamdi was the head coach at Singida Black Stars.

Hamdi succeeded in helping the club win a fourth straight league title after beating rivals Simba 2-0 on the final day of the season. The win saw Yanga finish top with 82 points, while Simba came second with 78 points. Yanga managed 27 wins, one defeat and two draws.

“The future isn't in my hands; it’s up to the club. I'm here, and we’ll see what happens. But today, I'm just very happy for the players, the fans, and everyone who loves Yanga. I wanted to win something with them, and we did it,” Hamdi told the Guardian.

“This is our fifth straight win over Simba, and it’s time for respect. They have a long way to go to reach the level that Yanga is at. Tonight is a tough night for them (Simba), but they must acknowledge our success.”

Hamdi further believes that the Jangwani giants succeeded in retaining their title because of the commitment of all the players in the squad.

“Even the players who didn’t step on the pitch today, this victory belongs to them too. Everyone played their role: the starters, the substitutes, those on the bench. We’ve worked so hard on the tactical side of the game, and today we saw the result,” he added.

Hamdi and Yanga still have a chance to finish the season by winning the double, as they still to play in the domestic cup final against Singida Black Stars.
