Sudan’s Al Hilal SC announced major changes within its technical staff after head coach Florent Ibengé officially left the club following the expiration of his contract. The Sudanese giants and the renowned Congolese coach could not come to an agreement on a contract extension.
The club confirmed the resignation of fitness coach Mehdi Marzouki, goalkeeper coach Lyd Ben El Hussein and Ethiopian assistant coach Addis Worku.
To fill the vacant roles, Al Hilal appointed Sudanese duo Fathi Basheer “Kabila” as fitness coach and Yasir Kajik as goalkeeper coach. Both have joined the technical staff led by new head coach Khalid Bakhit.
Al Hilal is currently preparing for the Sudan Elite League, which is set to kick off on July 4th with the team aiming for strong performances and a title challenge to secure continental football next season.
Hilal participated in Mauritania’s Super D1 league for the 2024-25 season, winning the title before returning home for the upcoming domestic Elite League that will determine Sudan’e representatives in CAF interclub competition next season.
