Hearts of Oak will come face to face with one of the toughest opposition when they travel to the Nana Agyemang Badu Park for their week 15 Ghana Premier League fixture against Aduana FC on Sunday.
The Phobians boosted their confidence ahead of the game following a 1-0 victory against Nations FC at the Legon Sports Stadium.
Ahead of the important fixture between the two former league champions, Hearts of Oak assistant coach Abdulai Gazale stressed the need to attach seriousness to the encounter.
“We are ready for the game ahead of us on Sunday, tactically we’ve prepared, technically we are ready, physically our minds are ready for this particular game,” Abdulai Gazale told Hearts TV.
“It’s a game that we have to win because this week we made it clear to ourselves that we need to pick two wins at the same time because this is the end part of the season and looking at how we trained from Tuesday until now, the players are all ready for this particular game.
“When it comes to history, Hearts of Oak find it hard to beat them over there in the last three years and this is what we have put on paper and making sure that we try to get that particular win over there.
“If we are not able to get the win over there we have to get a draw but all we are thinking about is to get a point over there that will give us the necessary climbing up to the first four.”
Hearts of Oak are yet to win a game at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park since the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season.
Hearts of Oak have collected 24 points, same as rivals Asante Kotoko after 14 matches in 5th and the record Ghana FA Cup holders will want to claw a point to stay in the Top Four.
