“Hearts of Oak were ready for a purposeful change” – Didi Dramani on joining Phobians

Head coach of Hearts of Oak, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has opened up on the reason he decided to join the Phobians ahead of next season.

The former Black Stars assistant coach recently signed for the Ghanaian giants, replacing Ivorian trainer, Aboubakar Ouattara at the end of the 2024/25 football campaign.

The former Asante Kotoko and Black Maidens coach signed a two-year contract, keeping him at the club until 2027.

Didi Dramani said: “I’m a professional, devoid of my passion and soft touch. I like to see things done in the right way. I had a thorough discussion with the club as to why they wanted me and I realized they were ready for a purposeful change”

The Phobians managed to finish in the top four in last season’s campaign which was an improvement from the previous campaign, where the team almost suffered relegation.

The 2025/26 Ghana Premier League will kick off on the weekend of September 12.
