Hellas Verona sign Libyan midfielder Moatasem Al-Musrati

Italian Serie A side Hellas Verona has signed former Libyan international Moatasem Al-Musrati. The 29-year-old defensive midfielder spent the 2024/25 season with French Ligue 1 side AS Monaco.

Musrati is the first player from his country to play for Hellas Verona. The midfielder will be staying at the Verona-based club on a season-long loan from Beşiktaş. Musrati began his career at his hometown club, Al Ittihad Tripoli. His commanding performances for the North African side earned him a move to Portugal.

Since joining Beşiktaş, Musrati has struggled for playing time and has sought loan moves. Hellas Verona will be his second loan move after spending last season at Monaco. He made ten league appearances in Ligue 1 and scored a single goal in what was a superb spell with Les Monégasques.

Moatasem Al-Musrati retired from international football in 2024, citing personal reasons. He won the 2014 African Nations Championship (CHAN) with Libya.
