There will be a clash of clubs in the bottom half of the Ghana Premier League table when newly promoted side, Hohoe United travel to Dreams fc in a week 10 fixture on Friday.
Hohoe United started the campaign on an impressive note, holding Hearts of Oak to a goalless draw at the Accra Sports Stadium in their opening fixture. They have however struggled since that fine start, clawing just two victories, four draws and three losses.
With ten points in nine games, they sit in 10th on the league log ahead of the journey to a struggling Dreams fc.
Head coach of Hohoe United, Tijani Bashiru has spoken about the all-important fixture.
“After the game against Nations, we came back and started training on Monday, so I think we are just correcting our mistakes that we did during the game against Nations. The problem we have is in our defence, so we are trying to get them on board and to try and defend well.
“We are just unlucky sometimes but we will see a better Hohoe United after matchday 10,” Tijani Bashiru told Hohoe United TV.
“In our games, we try as much as possible to score the first goal. So, to defend our goal is always a problem. In the game against Dreams FC, we will try as much as possible not to concede a goal. That’s the plan.
“What we plan is that any team that is behind us, we are going to try as much as possible not to let them pass us. So, as far as we are going to play against Dreams FC, we have that mentality to win the game.
Dreams FC on the other hand have collected two victories, two draws and five losses with 8 points from nine matches and are seated in 13th on the league table. The Week 10 fixture between Dreams FC and Hohoe United will be played on Saturday, November 14 at the Tuba AstroTurf.
