The quarterfinals of the 2025 Egypt Capital Cup wrapped up with two tightly contested second-leg clashes.
Despite losing 1–0 to Petrojet, Ceramica Cleopatra advanced to the semifinals on aggregate, while ENPPI held off Haras El Hodoud’s late push to secure their spot.
Petrojet 1–0 Ceramica Cleopatra
Aggregate: Ceramica Cleopatra 4–2 Petrojet
Despite a 1–0 defeat in the second leg of the quarterfinals, defending champions Ceramica Cleopatra booked their place in the semifinals, thanks to a 4–1 win in the first leg.
Petrojet’s only goal came in the 34th minute when Mohamed Dodo capitalized on a defensive error, stole the ball, and slotted it past the Ceramica goalkeeper. However, the narrow victory was not enough to overturn the first-leg deficit.
Ceramica Cleopatra will now face National Bank in a very good quality semifinal clash as they continue their title defense.
Haras El Hodoud 1–0 ENPPI
Aggregate: ENPPI 2–1 Haras El Hodoud
ENPPI secured a place in the semifinals despite a narrow 1–0 loss to Haras El Hodoud in the second leg. The aggregate score favored ENPPI 2–1, following their two-goal advantage from the first leg.
Haras El Hodoud’s lone goal came deep into first-half stoppage time when Hazem El Askary headed the ball home, but that goal wasn’t enough to overturn ENPPI’s aggregate lead.
ENPPI will now meet Ismaily in the other semifinal clash.
