Ghanaian coach Maxwell Konadu has indicated that he has no bad blood with South African side, Black Leopards.
The former Asante Kotoko player and coach parted ways with Black Leopards last week after a difficult run of form in the second tier league.
Konadu, who took charge of the side in July 2024, arrived with high expectations due to his extensive experience with Ghana’s national teams and domestic clubs.
He has served as an assistant coach for the Black Stars under several managers, including Otto Addo, Milovan Rajevac, Chris Hughton, Kwesi Appiah, and Avram Grant.
The former Black Stars striker has previously coach Asante Kotoko and as well leading Nsoatreman to the FA Cup title last two seasons. Despite his impressive resume, he struggled to deliver the expected results at Leopards, leading to his departure.
He says major disagreements with management attributed to the side's failure to agree to a contract agreement but maintains that he still has a good relationship with the club.
"I have honestly enjoyed my time here in South Africa having come with the ambition of gaining promotion with Leopards," he told KickOff. "We came within second spot before the run of results without a win. Then it ultimately came to a point of having discussions with management and not agreeing with each other.
"We were not fighting but just didn't understand the situation the same way, which became too much. I have no issues with Leopards, which is I still have a good relationship with all at the club.
"The team is not doing badly at all and if they win three in a row, they will be back in contention."
