Egyptian winger Ibrahim Adel played a decisive role as Al Jazira defeated Ajman 2–1 on Sunday to book their place in the UAE President’s Cup quarterfinals at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
Adel was the standout performer in the first half, showcasing his technical ability. The Egyptian international was heavily involved in the opening goal, when his skillful run and low cross forced Ajman defender Abdulrahman Rakan to turn the ball into his own net in the 31st minute.
