Ibrahim Maza wins Bundesliga Rookie of the Month for November

Ibrahim Maza has won the 2025/26 Bundesliga Rookie of the Month award for November. The Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder is in his debut Bundesliga season.

The Algerian international beat fellow Africans Yan Diomande and Bilal El Khannouss for the monthly award.

Maza was on target against Heidenheim as he bagged his first-ever Bundesliga goals, which were key during the month as the Werkself maintained their good run of form in all competitions.

According to the Bundesliga, Maza also contested the most duels among Werkself players over the last four matchdays (70) and won a solid 61 percent of them.

Maza is one of the young Algerian talents expected to perform well in the 2025 African Cup of Nations in Morocco. The German-born player is a product of the Hertha Berlin youth team.
