Senegal youngster Ibrahim Mbaye is attracting interest from a number of English Premier League clubs despite struggling for minutes at club level.
Having lacked playing time since returning from the Africa Cup of Nations, the Paris Saint-Germain striker has appeared on the radar of English Premier League club Aston Villa ahead of the summer transfer window.
After posting impressive performances for both his club and the national team, Mbaye is drawing attention thanks to his potential and development, which could open the doors to the English league, renowned for its intensity and competitiveness.
The 18-year-old was a delight to watch at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations where he played six games, scoring a goal, making him the youngest Senegalese player to score at that tournament.
Senegal won the tournament 1-0 over hosts Morocco but the victory is now under contention following CAF’s decision to strip the Teranga Lions of the trophy after 58-days.
While no official offer has yet been made, the growing interest surrounding the player suggests a busy summer ahead for the Senegalese striker.
Mbaye, who could be deployed at the wings has made 19 appearances this campaign with just a goal to his name in the current Ligue 1 campaign.
